Conference Overview

2020，It is the last year of the 13th Five Year Plan in China. In the past five years, China has introduced many important policies and regulations, such as “the implementation plan of the extended producer responsibility system”, “the leading plan for circular development”, “the opinions on promoting the transformation and upgrading of the collection industry”, “the implementation guide for green manufacturing projects (2016-2020)”, the solid waste law (Revised Draft for comments) etc. In the past five years, both Chinese electrical and electronic equipment manufacturing industry and recycling industry are experiencing the pain of green transformation and upgrading. The increasingly strict market environment has brought new opportunities to the development of excellent enterprises.

2020, the International Conference on EPR system and recycling technology of electric and electronic equipment (EEE & EPR Conference) entered a new round. Since 2005, the EEE & EPR Conference has been successfully held for 12 sessions, attracting officers, experts and scholars, producers, collectors, recyclers, equipment suppliers, and etc. from China, the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia and other countries and regions. In 2020, the 13^th EEE & EPR Conference will continue to be jointly organized by China Household Electric Appliances Research Institute (CHEARI), 13 well-known scientific research institutions and industry associations in China and 10 co-organizers from all over the world.

From the perspective of internationalization, the 2020 (Changsha) conference will trace and analyze the experience and problems in the implementation of EPR system in developed countries and regions, and discuss the responsibility setting of relevant stakeholders in China's EPR system, a variety of EPR performance modes, and the construction of EPR incentive mechanism. At the same time, relying on the EPR pilot producers of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology （MIIT） and the EPR Alliance Collection Partner Plan, the Conference helps producers to build an efficient, low-cost and traceable used products collection system, helps WEEE recyclers to find high value materials in WEEE, explores the collaborative mechanism of Green Consumption and EPR system, and discusses how to improve consumers' environmental awareness. The conference analyzes the standards, technological innovation, model innovation and other aspects in a multi-dimensional way, aiming to promote the construction of EPR system of China's EEE, improve the management and technical level of green manufacturing, and promote the domestic and foreign exchanges and cooperation of the production, sales, recycling, remanufacturing, processing enterprises and scientific research institutes of electrical and electronic products.
